Senior Accountant

About the role

SPADREC Sports Investment is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join its Finance team in Dubai. The successful candidate will manage day‑to‑day accounting activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and provisions.
• Perform bank, balance‑sheet, supplier and customer reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes.
• Prepare management reports and financial statements.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Assist with cash‑flow monitoring, budgeting and forecasting.
• Prepare variance analysis and provide financial insights to management.
• Support UAE VAT and Corporate Tax calculations, reconciliations and filing.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, IFRS and internal policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Provide guidance to junior finance team members as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably as a Senior Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English.
