Accountant – Full-Time in Dubai

About the role

We are an international group operating in courier services and IT, based in the Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZA). We seek a professional accountant to own the accounting function across all UAE entities, ensuring accurate books, timely reporting, and full compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Full‑cycle accounting for free‑zone and mainland entities, using Zoho Books.
• Maintain up‑to‑date books, collect and verify invoices, expenses, contracts and bank statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and inter‑company cash movement controls.
• Handle UAE VAT registration, calculations and FTA filings.
• Manage UAE Corporate Tax compliance, including free‑zone qualifying income.
• Prepare annual audit reports, coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely submission to FTA and DAFZA.
• Produce monthly P&L, cash‑flow and balance‑sheet statements for each legal entity and consolidate into a group management report.
• Conduct plan‑vs‑actual analysis and provide insights to partners and management.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a chief or sole accountant, preferably within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE free‑zone and mainland accounting, VAT and corporate tax requirements.
• Advanced professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA or equivalent) completed or in an advanced stage.
• Proven ability to prepare audit documentation and meet filing deadlines.

Required skills

• Zoho Books (daily independent use; broader Zoho One experience is a plus).
