Accountant – Library Finance

About the role

The library is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage its annual budget, monitor financial transactions, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with all organizational units to support accurate financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect data and documents for the preparation of the annual budget in coordination with all library units.
• Enter invoices, discounts, revenues, expenses and other financial transactions into the accounting system.
• Monitor disbursement of the approved budget, record transactions, and ensure accuracy of financial operations.
• Prepare disbursement documents, perform monthly account reconciliations, and support the Financial Oversight Authority reporting.
• Manage cash, reconcile advances, and oversee procedures for employee entitlements, creditors, revenue collection, contracts and procurement.
• Participate in periodic inventory counts of warehouses and assets and produce related reports.
• Prepare technical reports on budget transfers and summarize financial results for all units.
• Maintain a filing system for all financial documents and perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 0‑3 years of relevant experience.
• UAE nationality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Financial analysis and monthly reconciliation.
