Accounting & Operations Specialist

About the role

The Accounting & Operations Specialist will support the Accounting and Operations Managers in the Abu Dhabi branch of Intesa Sanpaolo. The role involves day‑to‑day accounting tasks, financial reporting assistance and ensuring smooth operational processes across banking activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and local regulatory reports.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely execution.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries with proper documentation.
• Assist month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Support preparation of financial statements and regulatory reports.
• Participate in internal and external audits, providing required documentation.
• Process transactions including remittances, loans, deposits, trade finance and treasury operations.
• Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures.
• Monitor and report on key operational metrics and ensure compliance with banking regulations.
• Identify, assess and mitigate operational risks.
• Provide administrative support to Accounting and Operations Managers and maintain organized records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in accounting or banking operations, preferably in wholesale banking.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
