Accounts Payable Accountant – Construction / Fit‑Out

About the role

Black Pearl is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to support its luxury interiors and project solutions business in Dubai. The role focuses on managing payments for both local and overseas suppliers within the construction, fit‑out and furniture sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Process the full accounts payable cycle for local and overseas suppliers, including three‑way matching of PO, GRN and invoice.
• Validate supplier invoices against purchase orders, delivery notes, work completion certificates and project budgets.
• Handle import documentation, Letters of Credit, Telegraphic Transfers and calculate landed costs for imported materials.
• Prepare vendor ageing reports, reconcile supplier statements and ensure timely payments according to credit terms.
• Process subcontractor payment certificates, retention amounts and advance recoveries.
• Check VAT and other tax treatments before posting invoices.
• Coordinate with procurement, site, project and warehouse teams to resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Record foreign‑currency transactions and monitor exchange‑rate differences.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in accounts payable within construction, interior fit‑out, joinery or related project‑based companies.
• Practical knowledge of import procedures, Letters of Credit and landed‑cost calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Proficiency in reviewing VAT and tax treatments.
