AI Engineer – Data & Software Development

About the role

AIQ is looking for a versatile AI Engineer to design, build, and optimise scalable data systems and software applications that power its AI‑driven platforms for the energy sector. The role blends data‑engineering expertise with software‑engineering skills and heavily leverages the latest AI coding assistants to accelerate development.

Key responsibilities

• Adopt and integrate AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Google Gemini) into daily development workflows.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance throughout the data lifecycle.
• Develop APIs, micro‑services, and system integrations for AI platforms.
• Participate in architecture decisions, code reviews, and continuous improvement of code quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data engineering and software development.
• Ability to work with large data sets and cloud‑based AI infrastructure.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and willingness to evaluate emerging AI development tools.
