AI Engineer – Security (Threat Detection & Response)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive AI Engineer specializing in security to design and deploy intelligent threat detection solutions for a leading client in Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with cybersecurity teams to embed AI/ML capabilities into existing security platforms and help protect critical assets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement AI/ML models for threat detection, anomaly detection, and incident response.
• Analyze large‑scale security datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and emerging threats.
• Integrate AI solutions with SIEM, SOAR and other security infrastructure.
• Monitor model performance, reduce false positives/negatives, and continuously improve algorithms.
• Research and evaluate new AI techniques and tools relevant to cybersecurity challenges.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline security operations.
• Document model architectures, processes, and findings for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with data‑privacy policies and industry regulations.
• Participate in incident investigations, providing AI‑driven insights.
• Stay current with advancements in AI and cybersecurity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Proven experience developing and deploying ML/DL models, preferably in a security context.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• TensorFlow, PyTorch or Scikit‑learn.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security services.
• Knowledge of SIEM and SOAR platforms.
• Data preprocessing, feature engineering, and handling large datasets.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and threat landscapes.
