About the role
We are looking for an Application Support Specialist to join a leading global investment firm in Dubai. You will work in a fast‑paced trading environment, supporting critical front‑to‑back applications used by traders, portfolio managers and operations teams.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day support for trading and business‑critical applications across front, middle and back‑office functions.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents while maintaining high service levels.
- Collaborate with traders, operations, and developers to improve system performance and supportability.
- Onboard new users and configure applications to match business workflows.
- Monitor production systems and participate in release testing and deployments.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of application or production support experience.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication abilities.
- Experience in a financial services or trading environment is a plus.
Required skills
- Unix/Linux operating systems
- SQL database querying
- Python scripting (or similar scripting languages)
- General scripting experience for automation and monitoring
