Application Support Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Application Support Specialist to join a leading global investment firm in Dubai. You will work in a fast‑paced trading environment, supporting critical front‑to‑back applications used by traders, portfolio managers and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support for trading and business‑critical applications across front, middle and back‑office functions.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents while maintaining high service levels.
• Collaborate with traders, operations, and developers to improve system performance and supportability.
• Onboard new users and configure applications to match business workflows.
• Monitor production systems and participate in release testing and deployments.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of application or production support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication abilities.
• Experience in a financial services or trading environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Unix/Linux operating systems
• SQL database querying
• Python scripting (or similar scripting languages)
• General scripting experience for automation and monitoring
