Aquatics Program Manager

About the role

The Aquatics Program Manager leads the strategic and operational direction of the Aquatics Department, ensuring high‑quality swimming experiences and commercial growth. This role oversees program design, team development, safety compliance, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive participation and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Set and execute the strategic vision for the aquatics program, targeting class occupancy, pool utilization, and participant retention.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve learn‑to‑swim, recreational, developmental, and competitive pathways.
• Lead, mentor, and coach swimming instructors and lifeguards, including conducting lesson observations and delivering training sessions.
• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, safeguarding, and water‑quality standards, conducting risk assessments and audits.
• Collaborate with Membership, Marketing, and Experience teams to attract participants, organize competitions, camps, school partnerships, and community events.
• Analyse performance data and participant feedback to optimise program outcomes and support business objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of aquatics coaching experience.
• At least 2 years leading an aquatics program and managing pool operations.
• Level 2 Swim Teaching certification (or equivalent) and a valid Lifeguard licence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience in the UAE or GCC region is an advantage.
