Arabic Language Instructor

About the role

American Gulf School in Sharjah is seeking a dynamic Arabic Language Instructor to join its expanding team. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality Arabic instruction to primary and secondary students, integrating modern technology and fostering a love of language. This full‑time position offers the chance to work in an international, IB‑aligned environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Arabic lessons in line with the school curriculum.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents and staff to support academic progress.
• Maintain classroom discipline and uphold safeguarding policies.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and school events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Arabic studies.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably in an American or IB school.
• Valid teaching credential or license.
• Strong command of English.
• Commitment to academic excellence and child welfare.
