Arabic SEN Teacher (Bilingual)

About the role

ADNOC Schools is seeking a high‑performing bilingual Arabic Special Educational Needs (SEN) teacher for its American‑curriculum campuses in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will deliver the Massachusetts State Curriculum to Arabic‑speaking learners while supporting students with additional learning needs and those for whom English is an additional language.

Key responsibilities

• Create a climate for learning that promotes outstanding practice.
• Identify clear teaching and learning objectives and set challenging tasks.
• Set appropriate expectations, clear targets and build on prior attainment.
• Identify SEN or highly able students and differentiate instruction to meet their needs.
• Maintain lesson structure, pace, motivation and challenge.
• Use assessment for learning and performance data to inform planning.
• Uphold the school’s Behaviour for Learning policy and promote punctuality, good behaviour and high standards of work.
• Employ a variety of teaching strategies, effective questioning and appropriate resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Educational Needs or related field.
• PGCE or equivalent teacher qualification.
• Minimum 24 months of teaching experience, preferably with the American curriculum.
• Experience working with students for whom English is an additional language.
• Commitment to the values of the region and the school’s ethos.
