Assistant General Counsel – Dubai

About the role

Oliver Wyman is seeking an experienced Assistant General Counsel to join its Dubai office. The role supports the India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA) region, providing commercial and regulatory legal advice to the firm’s consulting businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior leadership on corporate, commercial, regulatory and risk matters across the IMEA region.
• Lead the full contract lifecycle for client, vendor, alliance and subcontractor agreements, ensuring risk mitigation and revenue protection.
• Provide guidance on GCC regulatory compliance, including financial services, data protection and sector‑specific frameworks.
• Support HR and business leaders on employment law, mobility, investigations and immigration matters.
• Identify, assess and manage legal and operational risks, delivering pragmatic solutions.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with several years of experience in corporate and commercial law.
• Strong ability to work independently, prioritize high‑volume workloads and deliver practical advice.
• Solution‑oriented mindset with a focus on balancing risk management and business growth.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to act as a trusted partner to business leaders.

Required skills

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Knowledge of GCC regulatory frameworks and data protection laws.
• Experience handling employment, immigration and labor law issues.
