Assistant Head of Primary

About the role

The GEMS Founders School in Masdar City is seeking an Assistant Head of Primary to start in August 2026. Reporting to the Principal and Head of Primary, you will help drive the school’s vision, mission and academic standards while providing pastoral support.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day and strategic management of the Primary school.
• Track progress, lead curriculum planning and oversee Behaviour for Learning initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with parents to promote the school’s vision.
• Uphold GEMS Core Values and ensure high academic standards aligned with the UAE National Agenda.
• Formulate aims and objectives, develop policies, and monitor achievement.
• Manage staff, resources and budgets; undertake teaching duties as delegated.
• Assist the Head of Secondary in leading the secondary team and performance management.
• Contribute to shaping and implementing the school’s educational strategy.
