Assistant Manager - Public Area

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Public Area will support the Public Area team at Wynn Al Marjan Island, a new luxury resort under construction in the United Arab Emirates. Reporting to the Public Area Manager, this role ensures that all public spaces are cleaned, maintained, and presented to the highest standards for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Champion Wynn Al Marjan Island’s values, including colleague engagement and Forbes 5‑Star classification.
• Oversee daily and night cleaning of all public areas, ensuring compliance with resort standards.
• Conduct daily briefings, monitor uniform compliance, and ensure staff are well‑groomed and punctual.
• Assist the Manager with day‑to‑day operations, scheduling, and special projects such as deep cleaning, painting, chandelier cleaning, carpet shampooing, and marble restoration.
• Perform inspections of public spaces—including gaming areas, restrooms, shopping arcade, banquet rooms, lobbies, hallways, pool, porte‑cochère, exterior, and offices.
• Coordinate with Property Operations to resolve maintenance requests and guest complaints.
• Monitor quality control, health and safety standards, cleaning chemicals, equipment handling, and inventory levels.
• Arrange repairs and maintenance of cleaning equipment to maximise efficiency.
• Prepare and report operating expenses, payroll budgets, and capital improvement updates for managerial approval.
• Provide coverage for the Public Area Manager in their absence and support cross‑departmental guest service initiatives.
