About the role
Khalifa University is seeking an Assistant Professor in Nuclear Energy to contribute to its strategic priorities in renewable and sustainable energy, energy conversion, and advanced energy technologies. The successful candidate will balance teaching, research, and service to advance the university’s mission and UAE’s net‑zero goals.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and sustain an independent, internationally competitive research program in renewable and sustainable energy and/or energy conversion.
- Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering and related subjects, including new courses on emerging renewable energy topics.
- Prepare and update course materials, employ modern teaching methodologies, and provide timely feedback to students.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate projects, theses, dissertations, internships, and research activities.
- Secure external and internal research funding, build collaborative partnerships with industry, government, and academic institutions.
- Support innovation leading to patents, technology transfer, and high‑impact publications.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university committees, accreditation processes, and community outreach.
