Assistant Technician - Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Technician to support senior technicians in the preventive maintenance of elevators and escalators in Abu Dhabi. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with mechanical, electrical and control systems while working under close supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in routine preventive maintenance of elevators and escalators.
• Support troubleshooting and minor repairs of mechanical, electrical and control components.
• Perform lubrication, adjustment, cleaning and replacement of worn parts according to checklists.
• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions and site regulations, using PPE correctly.
• Report unsafe conditions, defects or potential hazards immediately.
• Help respond to breakdown calls and emergency situations, isolating faults under supervision.
• Contribute to minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month of relevant experience or a strong willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work safely under supervision.
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude toward safety.
