Assistant Vice President Financial Crime Compliance

About the role

The Assistant Vice President Financial Crime Compliance will lead Aldar Academy’s efforts to meet regulatory obligations, mitigate financial crime risks, and embed a culture of compliance across the organisation. You will work closely with senior leaders to align compliance initiatives with business objectives while driving excellence in risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a strong culture of AML awareness, ethical conduct and compliance throughout the company.
• Support the continuous improvement of the Financial Crime Compliance framework, systems and controls.
• Evaluate and implement digital, AI and automation solutions to streamline compliance processes.
• Monitor regulatory developments, assess impact and update policies and procedures accordingly.
• Design and maintain risk‑based monitoring programmes and FCC controls.
• Prepare reports, presentations and management papers for senior leadership and governance forums.
• Investigate and report AML, sanctions, ethics and anti‑bribery breaches, recommending corrective actions.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections, audits and engagements with external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in financial crime compliance, AML, or related risk functions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Commitment to maintaining data protection, confidentiality and record‑retention standards.
