Assistant Vice President - Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Vice President – Legal Counsel to provide expert legal guidance on project transactions for Aldar Projects. The role involves close collaboration with business units and the drafting and review of a wide range of legal documents.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts including construction, consultancy, development, facilities management, supply/service, guarantees, performance bonds and amendment agreements.
• Interpret contractual and statutory provisions, advise on negotiations, disputes and breach management.
• Support legal disputes and arbitrations, working with external counsel and handling breach or termination processes.
• Liaise with procurement, commercial and finance teams on real‑estate development transactions.
• Manage external counsel and oversee risk‑mitigation strategies for contracts and procurements.
• Develop and maintain template contracts and ensure compliance with applicable laws, internal policies, data‑protection, AML and KYC requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of legal practice, preferably in construction or real‑estate, either in‑house or private practice.
• Strong knowledge of construction, real‑estate and commercial law.
• Proven ability to work across multiple business functions and manage external legal service providers.
