Assistant Vice President – Technology (Self‑Service Channels)

About the role

The Assistant Vice President – Technology will ensure the high availability, stability and continuous improvement of self‑service channels such as ATMs, CDMs and kiosks across the UAE and international locations. The role combines operational oversight, project delivery and technical governance to support 24x7 banking services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain uptime and meet SLAs for self‑service channels and payment systems.
• Lead technology projects, application upgrades and enhancements, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Coordinate change requests, releases and UAT sign‑offs while minimizing business impact.
• Provide 24x7 support coverage across multiple regions and time zones.
• Monitor servers and processes, apply patches, and ensure disaster‑recovery environments are synchronized.
• Support audit, security and PCI DSS activities and address findings promptly.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of incidents and produce RCA reports with recommendations.
• Document processes, maintain SRS/BRD sign‑offs and collaborate with offshore development teams.

Required profile

• 15‑18+ years of IT experience with production and development support.
• Strong knowledge of self‑service channels (ATMs, CDMs, kiosks) and payment‑system processing.
• Understanding of retail banking operations, cards, digital banking and API‑based integration.
• Experience with IT governance, information security, risk management and PCI DSS compliance.
