Assistant/Associate Professor – Financial Technology (FinTech)

About the role

Canadian University Dubai is hiring faculty members at the Assistant Professor and Associate Professor levels to teach and research in Financial Technology (FinTech) for the Spring Semester 2026‑2027. The role involves delivering high‑quality undergraduate and graduate courses, developing curricula, and contributing to the School of Management’s academic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver courses covering blockchain, digital banking, data analytics, decentralized finance, and cybersecurity in financial services.
• Supervise undergraduate projects, MSc or DBA theses, and guide graduate research.
• Produce at least two peer‑reviewed publications in Q1/Q2 Scopus‑indexed journals per year.
• Participate in curriculum development, accreditation activities (AACSB), and industry engagement.
• Collaborate with faculty on interdisciplinary research and academic events.

Required profile

• PhD in Financial Technology or a closely related discipline from a QS Top‑500 university, preferably a Western accredited institution.
• For Assistant Professor: minimum 2 years of undergraduate teaching experience at a QS Top‑500 university.
• For Associate Professor: minimum 5 years of undergraduate and graduate teaching experience, including supervision of MSc/DBA students.
• Strong record of teaching effectiveness, research productivity, and industry engagement.
• Preference for candidates with Canadian academic links or experience in the Middle East.
