Associate Staff Physician – Emergency Medicine (Specialist)

About the role

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking an Associate Staff Physician (Specialist) in Emergency Medicine to join its multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will deliver acute care to patients in the Emergency Department, working under the supervision of a senior consultant and contributing to the hospital’s high‑quality, patient‑centred services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, assess and treat patients presenting to the Emergency Department, including life‑threatening conditions.
• Prescribe and administer medications, therapies and perform emergency procedures or surgeries as required.
• Interpret laboratory, imaging and other diagnostic results to establish diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Document clinical encounters, coordinate referrals and communicate care plans with multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in on‑call coverage, departmental committees and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Valid DOH medical license or eligibility for licensure in the United Arab Emirates.
• MD, MBBS, MBChB or DO with recognized specialty certification from an accredited board (e.g., American Board of Medical Specialties, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada).
• For candidates from Tier 3 countries, a minimum of three years of post‑qualification clinical experience in Emergency Medicine; UAE nationals require at least one year.
• Demonstrated expertise in emergency medicine practice and ability to work under consultant supervision.
