DBS Consultant

About the role

The DBS Consultant will support marketing, sales and adoption of functional and stereotactic neurosurgery solutions across the MENA region, providing clinical and technical support and driving implementation of state‑of‑the‑art workflows. The role is home‑office based in Dubai, reporting to the Regional Marketing Manager EMEA – Functional Neurosurgery.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the functional neurosurgery portfolio expert, developing deep scientific knowledge in deep brain stimulation, epilepsy management and related clinical workflows.
• Lead demonstrations of Brainlab Functional Neurosurgery software and platform portfolio for physicians and OR personnel.
• Provide on‑site consulting, guidance and assistance before and during surgery to ensure optimal patient benefit.
• Educate and train physicians, OR staff, radiology, biomedical and IT teams on the use of Brainlab products.
• Develop and deliver training programmes for local hospital teams and regional staff.
• Monitor market developments, conduct research and provide feedback to product management for clinical improvements.
• Collaborate with Area Account Managers and partner companies to drive regional strategy and product penetration.
• Support the launch of image‑guided DBS solutions and attend trade shows to demonstrate the portfolio.

Required profile

• BSc in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering or equivalent medical‑based degree; neuroscience background a plus.
• Minimum 5 years experience in medical technology or medical devices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to listen to physician needs.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and capable of making independent decisions.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Brainlab Functional Neurosurgery software and platform.
• Experience with Image Guided Surgery (IGS) technologies and deep brain stimulation workflows.
