Associate Vice President – Financial Planning and Analysis

About the role

Act as a strategic finance partner to Retail Banking leaders, delivering financial insights and recommendations that drive business decisions. Lead the Retail Banking Financial Planning & Analysis team, setting direction and ensuring accurate, timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to improve financial performance and optimise resources.
• Manage monthly accounting and reporting for Retail Banking, including analytical commentary and performance reviews.
• Prepare and analyse profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and other financial reports.
• Lead business planning, budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Monitor client, product and segment profitability, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Build detailed financial models to assess business scenarios and their impact.
• Provide financial support for new product launches, including viability assessments.
• Liaise with external auditors, regulators and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field; CMA, CPA or CFA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of finance business‑partnering experience in banking, preferably Retail Banking in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting and banking products.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and maintain high accuracy.
