Head of Finance

About the role

An excellent opportunity is available with a financial services institution operating in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) for a Head of Finance. Reporting to the Senior Executive Officer, the successful candidate will work closely with the board of directors, stakeholders, and external parties.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring the existing Firms’ policies and procedures are adhered to on a daily basis.
• Responsible for ensuring the Firm is in full compliance with applicable processes.
• Responsible for ensuring the Firms policies and procedures regarding Accounts and finance are reviewed periodically to ensure they remain accurate and in compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
• Ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial records, ensuring all income and liabilities are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reviewed.
• Monthly MIS Reporting.
• Calculate and maintain statement of capital adequacy and liquidity adequacy for internal and FSRA reporting purposes.
• Ensure adherence to financial laws and FSRA guidelines.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting/Finance and a Certified Accountant qualification with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in the financial services industry within an ADGM/DIFC regulated firm.
• Knowledge of financial services products and markets (exchange‑traded futures, options, foreign exchange, CFD) and of accounting principles, regulatory frameworks and UAE/ADGM financial regulations.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
