Associate Vice President, Remittance Product

About the role

The Associate Vice President – Remittance Product will lead the bank’s domestic and international payments strategy, driving growth, innovation and commercial performance across payment corridors and partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of domestic and cross‑border payments strategy, identifying new corridors and revenue opportunities.
• Manage and enhance domestic payment solutions (NPSS, Aani, account‑to‑account, bill payments, WPS 2.0) ensuring operational resilience and compliance.
• Drive growth and monetisation of Western Union and other correspondent corridors, exploring emerging markets and technologies such as blockchain.
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with fintechs, payment providers and correspondent banks, negotiating commercial agreements and service‑level commitments.
• Lead product and proposition development, building business cases for new payment capabilities and value‑added services.
• Oversee governance, risk and compliance for payment products, maintaining strong controls and audit readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline; postgraduate qualification in Business, Finance, Technology or Payments is a plus.
• 8‑10 years of experience in payments, remittances, transaction banking or fintech, with a proven track record of managing domestic or cross‑border payment products.
• Strong understanding of domestic and international payment rails, remittance corridors, and emerging technologies such as blockchain and real‑time payments.
• Experience negotiating and managing complex strategic partnerships and delivering revenue growth.
