AVP – Compliance Assurance

About the role

The Compliance Assurance Unit at First Abu Dhabi Bank is seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead group‑wide compliance testing. The role involves planning, executing and reporting on risk‑based compliance reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the annual UAE compliance testing plan and associated schedules.
• Conduct desk‑based and thematic compliance testing reviews, assessing control design and operational effectiveness.
• Prepare detailed testing reports and monitor remediation actions by business units.
• Collaborate with local and global teams to refine testing methodologies and adopt best practices.
• Log identified issues in the compliance issue management system and support ad‑hoc assurance tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Banking, Finance or related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in a reputable bank or audit firm.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in compliance monitoring, testing or internal audit.
• Professional certifications in compliance, corporate governance, risk management or internal audit are preferred.
