Business Application Consultant

About the role

The Business Application Consultant will be the primary point of contact for business users across Ghobash Group’s enterprise applications (excluding Oracle ERP and CRM). You will ensure high availability, data integrity and optimal use of the application portfolio while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day functional support and incident resolution for a range of business applications such as HRMS, document management, project management, asset management, HSE and procurement systems.
• Act as the first point of contact, triaging, diagnosing and resolving issues within agreed service levels.
• Conduct discovery sessions and workshops with stakeholders to capture workflows, pain points and requirements.
• Perform process mapping, gap analysis and recommend automation or new features.
• Document business requirements, functional specifications, configuration guides, test scripts and user manuals.
• Manage application configuration, user setup, role‑based access control and overall system administration.
• Coordinate with vendors for issue escalation, patch management, version upgrades and roadmap alignment.
• Design, plan and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) for releases, enhancements and integrations, tracking and resolving defects.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering functional support and incident resolution for enterprise business applications.
• Strong ability to conduct stakeholder workshops, capture requirements and perform process analysis.
• Experience documenting functional specifications, configuration guides and user manuals.
• Demonstrated capability to manage vendor relationships and coordinate upgrades.
• Ability to design and execute UAT, track defects and work with technical teams.
