Business Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Business Controller to support the Vice President – Financial Control, Planning and Analysis. The role will involve regulatory reporting, MIS development and coordination with finance teams across subsidiaries in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Source best‑practice benchmarks and prepare business analysis reports for senior management.
• Analyse data, interpret results and present insights to aid decision‑making.
• Collaborate with IT to implement appropriate reporting systems.
• Project‑manage the annual budgeting, re‑forecasting and cost‑optimization surveys.
• Drive cost‑control initiatives and monitor implementation at head‑office and school levels.
• Define and manage service‑level agreements between finance and other departments and harmonise finance policies.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA) or a business degree from a recognised school; additional CIMA or CFA qualification is a plus.
• 3‑5 years of experience in business analysis and cost control within a large retail or FMCG environment, preferably with consulting exposure.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; Arabic speaking is desirable.
• Strong analytical ability to review variances and understand business cycles.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of data‑warehousing and business‑intelligence software.
