Business Unit Head – Gastro (Gulf Region)

About the role

The Business Unit Head (Gastro) for the Gulf Region will lead and accelerate growth of the Gastro portfolio in the UAE and surrounding markets, reporting to the Cluster Head, Gulf Region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the business unit with full accountability for sales, profit, market share and growth objectives.
• Develop and implement annual and long‑term business plans aligned with regional and corporate strategies.
• Ensure optimal positioning of Gastro products through localized pricing, placement and promotion strategies.
• Monitor market trends, consumer insights and competitive intelligence to adapt strategies.
• Drive marketing excellence and integrated brand campaigns.
• Champion product launches, line extensions and brand lifecycle management.
• Deliver revenue, gross margin and EBITDA targets while maintaining rigorous financial discipline.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Life Sciences; MBA or marketing postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of senior commercial leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven track record of delivering top‑line and bottom‑line growth through brand and portfolio leadership.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams and collaborating with regional/global stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and stakeholder‑management skills.
