CAD Technician – Roads & Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a CAD Technician specialized in roads and infrastructure to join our engineering team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will create and maintain accurate engineering drawings while ensuring compliance with project standards and local authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, modify, and update CAD drawings for roads and infrastructure projects.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings, layouts, plans, sections, and profiles.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, company standards, and relevant authority requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers and design teams to incorporate design revisions.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control procedures.
• Perform quality checks on drawings before submission.
• Support project teams with timely preparation and revision of drawings.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CAD Operator on roads and infrastructure projects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Preferred: experience working in the UAE and familiarity with local authority drafting standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of engineering drafting standards and best practices.
