General Manager – Construction & Contracting

About the role

MAVEN is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead its operations in Abu Dhabi. The role oversees project delivery, commercial activities and team performance to support the company’s growth and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations and coordinate across projects and departments.
• Monitor project performance including progress, cost, quality, manpower, procurement and delivery schedules.
• Ensure projects are completed within approved budgets, contractual requirements and timelines.
• Lead, manage and develop project managers, engineers, commercial teams and operational staff.
• Review financial performance, project profitability, cash flow, budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, main contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Support commercial negotiations, contract administration, claims, variations and major procurement decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE requirements, quality standards and UAE regulations.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, strategic partnerships and market sectors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Proven senior management experience in construction, contracting, structural rehabilitation or concrete repair.
• Strong leadership, team‑management and people‑development capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience in operations management, project execution and commercial management.
• Experience working within the UAE and familiarity with local construction regulations and HSE standards.
