Capability Development Lead

About the role

The Capability Development Lead will drive the creation and delivery of Powertech’s next‑generation engine test capabilities, overseeing the full lifecycle of a world‑class Engine Test Campus in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall programme leadership to develop and deliver Powertech’s future engine test capabilities.
• Oversee planning, design, construction, commissioning and successful completion of the Engine Test Campus, including high‑altitude and combustion test facilities.
• Deliver new specialist test facilities that complement and expand the existing Engine Test Facility.
• Manage internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers and external partners to drive the programme from concept to operational capability.
• Ensure facilities achieve full operational readiness and meet current and future engine development and testing requirements.

Required profile

• Doctorate degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in test engineering or test operations, preferably in aerospace or propulsion testing.
• Proven experience working in a structured engineering or industrial environment and dealing with multiple technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability with a practical, hands‑on engineering mindset.
• Good written and spoken English and ability to work effectively in a team.
