Carpenter – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

W Hotels is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join its Engineering & Facilities team in Dubai. You will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure the hotel’s interior and exterior finishes remain in top condition.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets.
• Inspect, clean, lubricate, and troubleshoot equipment and systems.
• Identify and operate shut‑off valves for utilities and equipment.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities for shift handovers.
• Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall, wood‑trim repair, and cleanup.
• Test and repair plumbing, electrical components, HVAC filters, and guestroom items.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs, including sprinkler systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 month of relevant experience in a maintenance or hospitality setting.
• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, and carpentry.
• Ability to acquire new technical knowledge on the job.
• Strong attention to safety policies and ability to follow lockout/tagout protocols.
