Carpenter – Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to join the facilities team at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah. You will be responsible for the construction, installation, repair and maintenance of the hotel’s woodwork and related structures, ensuring a high standard of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform carpentry tasks including building, installing, repairing and maintaining furniture, fixtures, doors, windows and partitions.
• Inspect woodwork and structures, identify repair needs and execute timely maintenance or replacement.
• Collaborate with the Engineering team to prioritize tasks and support smooth hotel operations.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and materials; order new items within budget.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to meet project specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood and wood‑substitute materials.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in carpentry, preferably in a hospitality environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Good physical stamina for manual work.
