Clinical Nurse Lead – Long Term Care Unit

About the role

The Clinical Nurse Lead will supervise nursing staff, coordinate clinical operations, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality, safe, and efficient patient care within the long‑term care (LTC) unit.

Key responsibilities

• Works closely with the line manager to allocate resources that promote efficient, effective, and compassionate nursing care.
• Collaborates with the line manager to ensure appropriate staffing for current and subsequent shifts.
• Provides input into executive‑level decisions and keeps nursing staff informed of executive activities.
• Coordinates nursing services with other health‑care disciplines both internally and externally.
• Ensures appropriate orientation, education, and continuous professional development for nursing staff.
• Documents, maintains, and tracks clinical nursing information in relevant systems accurately and timely.
• Contributes to research and development programs within the asset.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• 2+ years post‑graduate Registered Nurse experience.
• 2+ years in a senior charge nurse position or equivalent.
• Must hold a DOH License or DHA Active License.
