Clinical Social Worker (UAE National)

About the role

The Clinical Social Worker will provide comprehensive psychosocial assessment and care planning for vulnerable patients at Corniche Hospital. This position is open to UAE nationals and involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, patients, families, and external agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct person‑centred psychosocial assessments and develop individualized social care plans.
• Coordinate delivery of care plans with government bodies, charities, and other service providers.
• Advocate for patients’ wishes, ensuring their values, spiritual beliefs, and customs are respected.
• Manage legal aspects of patient admission, liaising with police, judicial authorities, and preparing required reports.
• Facilitate safe and timely discharge from inpatient units and community teams.
• Maintain professional relationships with external agencies and ensure effective referral pathways.
• Document assessments, care plans, and updates in compliance with JCI standards.
• Promote awareness of social work practice and anti‑discriminatory policies among staff.

Required profile

• UAE national with a degree in Social Work or a related field.
• Experience in clinical or hospital social work, preferably with vulnerable or psychiatric populations.
• Strong knowledge of local health and social care regulations.
• Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
