Commercial Director Middle East & Africa

About the role

The Commercial Director MEA will own the sales results for the Personal Care and Consumer Tissue business across the Middle East and Africa. You will be responsible for delivering growth, profitability and strategic objectives while shaping the regional commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Full P&L accountability for the MEA Personal Care and Consumer Tissue portfolio.
• Develop and execute functional strategies and the overall regional business plan, adapting to diverse market dynamics.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, key customers and strategic partners, driving customer satisfaction and profitable growth.
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract management and business planning with key stakeholders.
• Drive customer engagement through regular market visits and executive‑level relationship management, respecting cultural nuances.
• Respond swiftly to market changes such as currency fluctuations, geopolitical events, regulatory updates and competitive shifts.
• Oversee bottom‑up sales forecasting, ensuring alignment with annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Design and implement long‑term pricing strategies to support sustainable profitability.
• Foster cross‑functional collaboration across the region to ensure coordinated execution.
• Lead, coach and develop the regional sales organization, promoting high performance and succession planning.

Required profile

• University degree.
• Significant industry/FMCG experience in a senior sales leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of the MEA market.
• Commercial experience with substantial P&L responsibility.
• Proven leadership experience.
