Commis Waiter/Waitress – Zest Restaurant

About the role

The Commis Waiter/Waitress will support the Food & Beverage team at Zest Restaurant, One&Only The Palm, by ensuring smooth dining operations and delivering warm hospitality to guests. This entry‑level position involves preparing the restaurant for service, assisting with orders, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
• Prepare all mise‑en‑place correctly before service begins.
• Assist in serving food and beverages promptly while showing genuine hospitality.
• Maintain restaurant setup, cleanliness, and equipment arrangement to resort standards.
• Support senior team members by completing assigned tasks efficiently.
• Report any breakages or equipment issues to the Team Leader/Supervisor.
• Attend team briefings, meetings, and required training sessions.

Required profile

• 6 months to 1 year experience in a quality hotel, resort, or restaurant environment.
• Basic food and beverage knowledge with a willingness to learn.
• Strong personal presentation and good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage politely with a diverse range of guests.
• Positive attitude, teamwork orientation, and professionalism.
• Good communication in English; additional language is an advantage.
