Concept Architect

About the role

We are seeking a visionary Concept Architect to join AECOM’s Dubai team. In this role you will lead the creation of forward‑thinking architectural concepts that address complex design challenges while supporting our mission to deliver a better world.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and communicate innovative architectural concepts, design strategies and visionary frameworks aligned with client objectives.
• Lead design optioneering sessions and concept workshops to explore multiple design directions.
• Apply computational design, parametric modelling and algorithmic workflows to optimise performance and efficiency.
• Conduct environmental and performance analyses using industry‑standard tools to validate concepts.
• Produce high‑impact presentations, visualisations and design narratives for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior architects in computational design and design‑thinking methodologies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including engineers, planners and specialists—to ensure integrated solutions.
• Develop design automation workflows and procedural systems to boost productivity.

• Excellent analytical skills and systematic problem‑solving approach.
• Leadership experience in guiding design teams and workshops.
• Passion for emerging technologies such as AI‑enabled design exploration.
