Consultant Cardiac Electrophysiologist - Australian Board Certified

About the role

A leading tertiary care hospital in Dubai is expanding its world‑class cardiology team and seeks an Australian Board Certified Consultant Cardiac Electrophysiologist. This senior position offers the chance to work in a state‑of‑the‑art cardiac centre with cutting‑edge electrophysiology and rhythm management technology.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias.
• Perform electrophysiology studies and catheter ablation procedures for atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, SVT, VT and other rhythm disorders.
• Implant and manage cardiac implantable electronic devices (pacemakers, ICDs, CRT‑P, CRT‑D).
• Interpret ECGs, Holter recordings, event recorders and implantable loop recorders.
• Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, heart‑failure specialists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations, follow‑up care and documentation in line with international safety standards.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, research and continuing medical education.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MBChB or equivalent) with accredited training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
• Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Australian Board/Fellowship qualification (FRACP or equivalent).
• Minimum 3–5 years post‑fellowship consultant experience, preferably with complex ablation and device implantation expertise.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
