Consultant Cardiac Electrophysiologist in Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join a leading healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi. The role involves diagnosing and managing complex cardiac rhythm disorders and performing advanced electrophysiology procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients with cardiac arrhythmias and complex rhythm disorders.
• Perform and interpret ECGs, Holter and event monitoring, and electrophysiological studies.
• Conduct advanced catheter ablation procedures for supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias.
• Utilise 3D electro‑anatomical mapping and advanced ablation techniques, including cryoablation and pulsed‑field ablation.
• Implant and manage pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices and lead extractions where within scope.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑procedure care, manage complications, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in cardiac rhythm clinics.
• Contribute to teaching, research, quality improvement and departmental development.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Specialist/consultant qualification in Cardiology.
• Fellowship or advanced training in Cardiac Electrophysiology.
• Valid DOH licence for Abu Dhabi or eligibility to obtain one.
• Significant post‑specialisation experience in cardiac electrophysiology.
• Proven expertise in complex ablation procedures and cardiac device management.
• Strong communication, clinical decision‑making and teamwork skills.
