Consultant General Surgeon – American Board / UK CCT

About the role

SearchPlus HR is recruiting a highly qualified Consultant General Surgeon for a leading healthcare provider in the United Arab Emirates. The role offers the chance to work in a state‑of‑the‑art surgical environment, delivering both elective and emergency procedures to a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of oral, maxillofacial and facial conditions requiring surgical intervention.
• Perform advanced oral and maxillofacial procedures, including facial trauma, orthognathic, reconstructive, dental implant surgery and treatment of oral pathology.
• Carry out general and laparoscopic surgeries, gastrointestinal and emergency operations, and other major surgical procedures.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide comprehensive pre‑operative, operative and post‑operative care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as dentists, orthodontists, ENT specialists, oncologists and plastic surgeons to ensure optimal outcomes.

Required profile

• American Board Certification, UK CCT or another recognised Western qualification in General Surgery.
• Minimum 3–5 years post‑board/CCT experience as a Consultant General Surgeon.
• Extensive experience in general, laparoscopic, gastrointestinal and emergency surgery.
• Strong clinical, surgical and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
