Consultant Haematology & Oncology (BMT experience)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Haematologist & Oncologist with strong bone marrow transplantation expertise to join a leading tertiary‑care hospital in Dubai. The role involves delivering comprehensive care for patients with benign and malignant haematological disorders and managing autologous and allogeneic stem‑cell transplants.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultation for haematology and oncology patients.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic leukaemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma and other blood cancers.
• Manage autologous and allogeneic bone‑marrow and stem‑cell transplantation, including pre‑transplant assessment and post‑transplant follow‑up.
• Perform and interpret bone‑marrow aspiration and biopsy procedures.
• Oversee stem‑cell mobilisation, collection, conditioning and transplantation processes.
• Identify and treat transplant‑related complications such as infections and graft‑versus‑host disease.
• Develop individualized chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted‑treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including oncology, infectious disease, transfusion medicine, pathology and intensive care.
• Participate in tumour boards, transplant meetings and clinical research activities.
• Supervise and mentor junior doctors and clinical staff.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognised institution.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Haematology, Haematology & Oncology or Medical Oncology.
• Valid DHA licence or eligibility to obtain a UAE medical licence.
• Consultant‑level clinical experience with significant bone‑marrow transplantation exposure.
