Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon – Soft Tissue Knee (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon with a focus on soft‑tissue knee surgery to join our Orthopedics Department in Abu Dhabi. The role involves comprehensive diagnosis, surgical management, and postoperative care of sports‑related knee injuries.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients with knee disorders at a consultant level.
• Perform advanced arthroscopic procedures, including ACL/PCL reconstruction, multiligament reconstruction, meniscal repair, meniscectomy, and cartilage restoration.
• Develop individualized pre‑operative plans and coordinate post‑operative rehabilitation and return‑to‑sport programs.
• Collaborate with sports‑medicine physicians, physiotherapists, radiologists, and rehabilitation specialists.
• Participate in outpatient clinics, operating lists, on‑call duties, and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Teach and supervise residents, fellows, and junior physicians.
• Contribute to clinical research, audits, and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Completed postgraduate training and board certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Fellowship or formal training in sports knee surgery, arthroscopy, or related subspecialty.
• Eligibility to practice medicine in the United Arab Emirates.
