Consultant Pediatric Endocrinology

About the role

We are seeking a senior Consultant in Pediatric Endocrinology to provide exemplary, evidence‑based medical care at Tawam Hospital. The role involves leading clinical services, supervising junior staff, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within a dynamic hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality inpatient and outpatient care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of pediatric endocrine disorders.
• Conduct patient examinations, obtain detailed histories, order and interpret investigations, and prescribe appropriate therapies.
• Lead ward rounds, supervise junior physicians, residents, and GP’s, and provide mentorship and training.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with other specialties to ensure holistic patient care.
• Provide on‑call coverage on a rotational basis, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital, departmental, and DOH regulations.
• Engage in clinical audits, peer review, and risk management activities to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a structured specialty training program with board certification or equivalent fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex pediatric endocrine cases.
• Strong leadership and teaching abilities.
• Eligibility to practice medicine in the United Arab Emirates.
