About the role

A top‑tier hospital in Dubai is seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Pediatric Intensive Care to lead its state‑of‑the‑art PICU. The role involves managing critically ill pediatric patients with complex medical and surgical conditions, using advanced life‑saving interventions within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert care to high‑acuity pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Perform advanced procedures such as mechanical ventilation, ECMO and invasive monitoring.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, surgeons, nurses and allied health professionals.
• Design individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to clinical education programs.
• Lead quality‑improvement initiatives and uphold international care standards.
• Participate in clinical research and stay current with PICU advancements.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in Pediatric Intensive Care or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
• Western training (USA, UK, Canada or equivalent) is mandatory.
• Minimum 3–5 years post‑board experience in a consultant PICU role.
• Proven expertise in advanced pediatric critical care techniques.
• Strong leadership, communication and family‑centered care philosophy.
• Eligible for DHA Consultant licensure (Dubai Health Authority).
