Cost Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Cost Controller to monitor and analyse operational costs at Mama Shelter Dubai, ensuring the hotel stays within approved budgets and supports smart business decisions. Numbers are not just numbers – they reveal where we win, where we overspend, and where we can improve. The role involves close collaboration with multiple departments to ensure cost efficiency and to provide insights that drive operational improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse daily, weekly and monthly operational costs against approved budgets.
• Maintain accurate cost records for COGS, inventory, labour and other expenses.
• Review cost reports and conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
• Track inventory levels to prevent overstocking, stockouts and unnecessary costs.
• Review purchase orders, invoices and contracts to ensure accurate expense recording.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Operations and other departments to support cost‑effective operations.
• Prepare regular cost performance and variance reports for management.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and cost planning activities.
