Data Engineer – Enterprise IT (UAE National)

About the role

We are seeking a performance‑driven UAE National Data Engineer to help build Al‑Futtaim’s Enterprise Data Lake. The role involves ingesting and modelling diverse data sources on our Azure‑based data platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust data pipelines using Microsoft and Databricks technologies.
• Develop Azure DevOps pipelines to deploy Azure Data Factory (ADF) workflows.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Provide technical design and PySpark coding to deliver project objectives.
• Explore and adopt the latest Azure services and Databricks products.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology.
• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong knowledge of relational and non‑relational databases.
• Proven ability to build and optimise big‑data pipelines and architectures.
• Analytical skills for working with unstructured data sets.
• UAE National with a family book.
