Data Integration Engineer

About the role

Vanderlande is seeking a motivated Data Integration Engineer to join its Dubai team. You will work on normalising data from multiple sources and supporting the company’s flagship SaaS logistics platform for airport baggage and cargo handling.

Key responsibilities

• Develop code to normalise and ingest data from diverse sources into the SaaS application.
• Perform quality assurance testing for SaaS components.
• Design and enhance technical solutions for new and existing customers.
• Document solution designs and maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation.
• Provide regular status updates to requestors and stakeholders.
• Manage handover processes to Service and Customer Success teams.
• Collaborate with a geographically dispersed, diverse team to meet strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Strong analytical, logical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Educational background in software development, computer science, mathematics or a related field.
• Passion for delivering high‑quality projects and a commitment to excellence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; basic German is a plus.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java or Python.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
• Understanding of networking concepts.
• Experience with GitLab for version control.
• Experience with Agile and/or Lean methodologies.
• Knowledge of client/server and web‑based application architectures.
